Software
Processes include those activities, methods, practices and transformations that
are used to create and maintain software products.
Software Process
Task Sets: To set the objectives or set of standards developed
for developing a software. It includes the tasks, milestones and SQA points.
Tasks:
Set of activities that are followed to achieve the objective of developing a
software.
Milestones:
The standard level or strategies followed for the development of software.
SQA Points: SQA is Software Quality Assurance that assures about
the quality of the software.
The following are the fundamental Process activities
that are common to all the software processes.
1. Software
specification- defining what the system should do
2. Software
development- defining the organization of the system and implementing the system
3. Software
validation- checking that it does what the customer wants
4. Software evolution- changing the system
in response to changing customer needs.
